The Good

If you are looking for one-on-one care, National Credit Care is worth taking a look at. National Credit Care works with their clients not only to dispute incorrect information on your credit score, but also to work with you to improve your credit.

Their credit tips include who to pay off, how to handle a balance and how to build good credit. National Credit Care wants to help customers maintain good credit.

The Bad

According to the Better Business Bureau, there were 38 complaints filed about National Credit Care in the past three years. It is noteworthy, however, that despite this volume of complaints, they have managed to maintain an A+ rating by resolving customer concerns. Complaints were about sales issues, collection issues, warranties and problems with service.

They have no licensed attorneys and offer no money-back guarantees on their services. The company does not list any reviews on its webpage.

The Bottom Line

Do your research about National Credit Care before you choose to go with them as your credit repair company. While they have an A+ BBB rating, there are other areas we have concerns about. Their lack of licensed attorneys and transparency are issues for us. If you feel they may be the one of the best credit repair companies for you, please do additional homework.

National Credit Care uses a six-step credit repair process. While very similar to other credit repair companies’ step by step processes, National Credit Care claims to pay specific attention to details and offers comprehensive options to their clients. National Credit Care uses the six step process, but creates a customized plan for each of their clients.

Step #1: Contact

If you decide that you want to receive credit repair help from National Credit Care, begin my getting in contact with their team either by email or phone. This conversation will allow you to explain what you want to see happen with your credit while allowing the National Credit Care specialist the opportunity to provide realistic expectations.

Step #2: Analysis

The next step is to analyze your credit report. A National Credit Care consultant will go through each detail on your credit report with you so that there is total awareness and understanding of the key issues and areas of strength. The analysis portion of the credit repair process will also help you better understand your credit situation.

Step #3: Verification

Upon getting in contact with a representative from national Credit Care, you will be asked to provide standard personal information required in order to begin the credit repair process. This information will include your name, social security number, address and billing information, and employment information. All of this information will also have to be verified before any credit repair case can get started on.

Step #4: Payment

After the consultant has analyzed your credit report and verified your personal information, you will have to pay the consultation fee before the credit repair process can actually begin. The credit report consultation fee comes out to $189, followed up by $69 monthly fee while the consultant is disputing the inaccurate items on your credit report.

Step #5: Confirmation

After you have paid the consultation fee, you will receive written confirmation of your enrollment in the National Credit Care credit repair program. You will also receive, in the confirmation email, all details concerning the credit repair process, terms, and other obligations associated with your review.

Step #6: Dispute and Relax

This is the part where your consultant will take over your case. They will begin disputing inaccurate items on your credit report by submitting letter to the credit bureaus. The bureaus then have 30 days to send back results of their investigation. During the 30 day time period, an NCC consultant will continue to work with you to develop positive credit habits that will also boost your score. Once the credit bureau investigation is complete, you will receive the results and can go over them with your consultant.

I would not recommend this company. I paid the sign up fee and was with the service long enough to be billed for 3 months. You are supposed to get updates from the bureaus as to if the dispute is deleted, remains or changed. I never got the first letter from the bureaus with this type of information. They wanted to tell me how stellar they were doing and what they were accomplishing before I discontinued my service. Not a darn thing happened except they withdrew money from my checking account regularly. I contacted the mortgage broker who referred them to me and told them about the other company I found that does produce results. So even though I feel they took my money, I have prevented them from screwing someone else over.

Signed up with NCC today 12 June 2013. I had a great conversation with Vincent. He was professional and well spoken. I look forward to the results. I will post the progress in 40 days. Vincent is Marine trained so I’m counting on him to accomplish the mission. I know he can get the job done.

National Credit Care is a JOKE.
First off they should probably consider taking care out of their name entirely. The employees are far from professional and have no sense of service recovery. I was told to use National Credit care from my broker who has successfully worked with them in the past. I needed 20 more points to qualify for my home loan and he said this will be a quick fix. The first representative I worked with was actually pretty nice. The services were provided and just after one month I was where I needed to be. (In one month they took off 2 Inquires from my report) When I contacted National Credit Care to cancel this is where the problems started to occur. If you call them except to wait on hold for 5 to 10 minutes before you actually talk with anyone. And they ALWAYS place you on hold if you ask a question to ask someone who actually knows anything – This is at least 5-10 more minutes. I explained I needed to cancel the services and the man said things like “Your credit is in bad condition you shouldn’t be cancelling” and “Nobody cancels after just one month why are you?” I said to cancel again I already got the home I wanted and that’s why I needed the services. After I got off the phone I got another call from National Credit Care and again they were rude trying to make me stay. Now another month later I got billed for services I didn’t use and I had to phone to cancel. The girl who answered this time was by far the rudest out of all of them (Chritina Gallegos?) She didn’t apologize for the error of my credit card being charged again and was simply short and uninterested. I was placed on hold for a long period of time and then told they could send me a check. I said that was not acceptable that she needed to place it back on my card because they took it directly out of my account. She said fine that will take up to 5 days. Why I have no clue again Lack of training and just plain rude. I’m glad I don’t have to ever call again. I recommend nobody uses this service. It’s a hassle.
