On paper, National Credit Federation looks like a top-notch company. However, with complaints on the BBB and almost purely negative reviews, we’d be wary before signing up with this credit repair company.

The Good

National Credit Federation offers a “Consumer Protection Warranty.” This ensures that if no derogatory items are removed from your report in the first three months of using their services, National Credit Federation will terminate your membership and return all membership fees that you have paid, upon request. The company also guarantees that if your credit score has not increased after twelve months of membership, they will refund one hundred percent of your membership fees.

The company also an educational resource, Credit University, on their site. It’s great to see companies working to educate their clients.

The Bad

National Credit Federation is not accredited by the BBB. While most complaints filed with the BBB against National Credit Federation were closed with BBB mediation, there are also reports of serious mismanagement. In one particularly bad incident, National Credit Federation’s National Director failed to honor the consumer protection warranty and sent “suspicious” information regarding the client’s credit profile to credit report company Experian. More generally, National Credit Federation has received media attention only through its aggressive promotion of self-published e-books. What services will be performed for you and when are never explicitly stated. On top of this, the company’s fee structure is not in keeping with the Federal Credit Repair Organizations Act.

The Bottom Line

Be cautious. You should always do your own investigation on a credit repair company before you choose to sign on. However, while it is difficult to find much information about National Credit Federation, most personal testimonials we found from customers were negative.  Its rigid fee system, lack of clear goals and methods, and track record with customers as being suspicious do not bode well for this company.

Real Reviews (yes they're real)

With so many credit repair companies out there, and a lack of sites willing to bring you the REAL breakdowns of each company, what source can you turn to for the real information you can trust?

We are dedicated to bringing out the truth, and so we rank credit repair companies as they should be. Through our investigation and experience with each company we bring you our honest, unbiased opinion and ranking. We also include real user reviews by past customers of each company, which are verified and authenticated.

Like many sites, we are compensated through affiliate relationships with each company we review, however all of our rankings are based on our 9-Point Ranking Criteria.

All reviews are subject for moderation and approval. Any reviews that may resemble false information, or competitors of another company will need to be verified by our staff before reviews or comments will be approved and published. We reserve the right to approve or deny any reviews left on this site.
